Michelangelo’s David Tour: Let's Start with a Visit to the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence

We will start the tour visiting the Galleria dell'Accademia, where the original David by Michelango is located. It gives us the opportunity to discover a lot about one of the greatest artists of the XV Century. He is the epitome of a Renaissance man, stereotyped as a lonely tormented genius, but in his life he was also the most famous and successful artist of its time.

Thanks to the presence other Michelangelo artwork in the Museum, like the famous unfinished statues, we'll enter into Michelangelo's philosophy, his way of thinking and how he gave life to the figures imprisoned in the blocks of marble, relieving them from their stone.

Florence Waking Tour: Let's Finish the Experience with a Walk in Florence
The visit will continue with a Florence Walking Tour.

We will pass in front of the first Medici house, learning about how they became so powerful and rich, their relationship with the Florentine people and especially with Michelangelo.

After that, we will stop into the fantastic Piazza del Duomo, to admire, from the outside, the amazing Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore, the baptistery with Ghiberti’s famous golden Gates of Paradise and we'll talk about the extraordinary project that Brunelleschi made for the Duomo.

By leaving the main religious center, the next piazza, Piazza della Repubblica, surrounded by charming cafes, we'll give ourselves the chance to learn what happened in Florence back in the XIX Century.

We will continue by bringing some luck into our lives at the famous Fontana del Porcellino placed at the straw market that used to be the ancient financial part of the city.
