Florence Food and Wine Tour

We’ll start with a typical Italian breakfast that will give us energy to begin our morning! There’s not a better way to start a day than with a nice strong espresso or a hot cappuccino with a budino di riso (don’t worry, you will learn what it is and you will love it!) or another typical sweet!

During our Florence Food Tour we will explore different districts of Florence, the real Florentine neighborhoods, outside the main touristic path! From the Santa Croce area, the birthplace of Michelangelo, we’ll go in the direction of Sant’Ambrogio, where there is a local market. Once inside we’ll see and taste the seasonal products, you’ll learn about the main dishes of Florence, and we’ll teach you some delicious and easy recipes!!

We’ll of course taste delicious food like the Schiacciata, literally smashed bread, a sort of flat bread that is perfect with our salami, hams or pecorino cheeses!!

We’ll also taste the typical salami of Florence called Finocchiona or the famous lampredotto sandwich!

But good food needs good wine! That’s why we’ll learn about traditional food products and have you taste our local famous wines like the Chianti red wine!
